A criação e recriação do campesinato no Século XXI: a construção do discurso e da prática agroecológica dentro do Movimento Sem Terra (MST) e a urgência do ecossocialismo frente ao sistema capitalista e o conservadorismo de Jair Bolsonaro

The present work initially aimed at making a qualitative analysis of the Sustainable Development Projects (SDP), implemented by INCRA/SP, in the region of Ribeirão Preto in counterposition and resistance to the predatory models of territorial monopolization established by agribusiness. Nevertheless, given the pandemic of COVID-19 established mainly in Brazilian territory, resulting in more than half a million deaths to date, it was decided to make a more theoretical and conceptual analysis of the extensive use of pesticides, intensified with the support of the federal government of Jair Messias Bolsonaro and the peasant movements, such as the Landless Movement (MST), which are directed against this productivist, large landowner and monoculture model. In this regard, this analysis sought to demonstrate the transformative character of peasant social movements as they territorialize, introducing logics and social-spatial practices capable of producing differentiated territories, social transformations, and ruptures in the clash with the logics and socialspatial practices engendered by agro-industrial capital. For this purpose, alternative models of agricultural production with a focus on Agroecological production will be analyzed in detail and carefully in future investigations, as well as the extreme need to re-evaluate and implement an alternative model of food regime aiming at Brazilian food sovereignty and the necessary break from Latin America's dependence on Northern countries. That being said, for such an impulse, it will be discussed ecosocialist proposals elaborated by the sociologist Michael Löwy that propose a "governmental revolution" seen the unsustainable capitalist model and its various crises in the contemporary world, especially the political and environmental conditions that we are witnessing recede from the year 2018, mainly from the inauguration of Jair Messias Bolsonaro in the Presidency of the Republic.
