Increasing in elderly and decline in birth rate suggests an expected better education and health policies for children, as a more equality society, taking care of elderly population, since such care became a public issue. Moreover, with an increasing in life expectancy, theoretically, people may have more leisure time and time to spend with different activities, but the investment in health area is poor and just some few people can live a health aging process. Therefore, the aim of this work is to describe the performance of the UNATI project (campus Rio Claro). The discussion about the importance of university, including professional formation, researches and the social impact in the communities was performed. The UNATI project effective contributes not only with the formulation of new public policies for the elderly, by the participation in Elderly Counsels and Conferences where interests of older people are debated, but also encourages many Extension Projects focused in elderly, specially programs of physical exercises to different aging groups and daily activities performance, contributing to formation of students who are involved and support developing research in the area. Additionally, organize events directed to older people, joining with other Extension Projects that works in this area.
