Um Estudo funcional dos verbos em português: dinamicidade e estatividade contextuais

In this work we try to demonstrate that the sam e verbal item may establish a dynamic (action, process, action-process) as well as a static relation with the other predication constituents. For that we use the sam e corpus of the Dicionário de Usos do Português Escrito Contemporâneo do Brasil (DUP) 2 It is basic to start from the principle of the verb centrality in the sentence building, once it is in the verb we can find the cohesive elements needed for the organization and understanding of the sentence, through the syntatic-semantic organization and the situation in time and space. Thus, studying the relations established within the verb and its constituents, we may have four kinds of prototypical sentences: active, processive, active-processive and stative. According to the predication relations established within the verb and its arguments in the sentence realization, and also to the variations due to the working of the verb in the text, we study the possible semantic contextual varieties going from a syntatic-semantic typology pre-established of the sam e lexical verb form to a functional analysis, in the concrete language realization in its several textual aspects. We still consider the speaker interference according to his freedom to choose, it means, the speaker can choose the way in which he is going to comunicate the sam e reality. This possibility reflects in the sentence typology.
