Resumo: The valuation of the aesthetic by the people represents a sufficiently current concept, where the harmony of the smile is objective constant in all dental procedure. The loss of vertical dimension associated with a gengival smile can interfere negatively in search of a smile aesthetically favorable. The clinical case to follow has as objective to demonstrate to the correction of the level of the gingival edge - line of the smile. A plastic periodontal gengivectomia bevel premolar internal. Was made right to left upper premolar, prior to the manufacture of porcelain laminate, in order to provide a satisfactory aesthetic result. Through the foregoing, we conclude that the correction of such aesthetic questions can only be achieved with success through integrated knowledge of surgical Dentistry and appropriateness of facial harmony inside

A perda de dimensão vertical associada a um sorriso gengival pode interferir negativamente na busca de um sorriso esteticamente favorável. O caso clínico a seguir tem como objetivo demonstrar a correção do nível da margem gengival - linha do sorriso. Foi feito uma plástica periodontal de gengivectomia de bisel interno de pré-molar direito a pré-molar esquerdo superior, previamente à confecção de laminados de porcelana, a fim de proporcionar um resultado estético satisfatório.
