Resumo: When discussing sexuality with adolescents, there is a plethora of ideas, disturbances, expectations and doubts that are raised throughout this life stage. This study aims to compare with the population of students of the 8th grade of elementary school in a city in northwestern São Paulo State, prior knowledge about sexuality of boys and girls through a questionnaire administered in public schools and particular city. It was observed that there are no differences between behaviors and opinions between boys and girls, however it highlights the need for appropriate information seeking to improve the quality of life and healthy habits.

O presente estudo tem como objetivo comparar junto à população de alunos do 8° ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma cidade do noroeste do Estado de São Paulo, os conhecimentos prévios sobre sexualidade de meninos e meninas, por meio de um questionário aplicado nas escolas públicas e particulares da cidade.
