The scope of this project was the proposal of a sustainable packaging for organic food, since its use contributes to mitigate and combat problems arising from unsustainable human interactions. Packaged organic food has significant sustainable characteristics. However, packaging is often not sustainable. The development and use of sustainable packaging - including for organic food - is necessary to recover and preserve the environment and, consequently, contribute to the propitiation of lives of future human generations on Earth. In an attempt to achieve the purpose of this project, the following steps have been developed: i) An exploratory bibliographic research to study the theme sustainable packaging for organic foods; ii) A case study that analyzed the sustainability of some organic food packaging; iii) The development of sustainable alternatives for the redesign of one of those packages analyzed previously. In this phase, different possibilities were thought, considering requirements such as form, function, applicability of sustainable materials, and aesthetics. This project was able to reach the scope of proposing a sustainable packaging for organic food that could contribute positively to the search for rebalancing the environment
