The education of intellectually disabled people has been affected by exclusion, segregation, integration, and finally inclusion. The inclusion has initiated in the last decades of the twentieth century. At that time, new movements and important documents resultant from worldwide conferences in favor of the inclusion of disabled people in the regular education system came up. This research is a bibliographical study which generally aims to identify Theses and Dissertations present on the website of Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) regarding the Curricular Adaptation and Intellectual Disability in the Context of Inclusive Education for the period between 1998 and 2013. This temporal cut can be justified by the fact that the National Curricular Parameters: Curricular Adaptations: Strategies for the Education of Students with Special Needs came up in 1998. These strategies are considered highly important to understand the current adaptations and different levels. It was necessary to search for the goals, methodologies and results of the Theses and Dissertations, selected among the files sent by CAPES to answer the study question: What do the Theses and Dissertations show about the Curricular Adaptation regarding intellectually disabled students in the context of Inclusive Education? Nine dissertations and one thesis made part of this study. The data showed that among the ten publications, four are directly related to the curricular adaptation and intellectual/mental disability, five refer to the curricular adaptation and disabilities, and one is concerned about the curricular practices for mentally disabled students. The approach most used in these publications was qualitative; and the instruments for data collection were documental analysis, observation and interview.
