Resumo: The education of intellectually disabled people has been affected by exclusion, segregation, integration, and finally inclusion. The inclusion has initiated in the last decades of the twentieth century. At that time, new movements and important documents resultant from worldwide conferences in favor of the inclusion of disabled people in the regular education system came up. This research is a bibliographical study which generally aims to identify Theses and Dissertations present on the website of Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) regarding the Curricular Adaptation and Intellectual Disability in the Context of Inclusive Education for the period between 1998 and 2013. This temporal cut can be justified by the fact that the National Curricular Parameters: Curricular Adaptations: Strategies for the Education of Students with Special Needs came up in 1998. These strategies are considered highly important to understand the current adaptations and different levels. It was necessary to search for the goals, methodologies and results of the Theses and Dissertations, selected among the files sent by CAPES to answer the study question: What do the Theses and Dissertations show about the Curricular Adaptation regarding intellectually disabled students in the context of Inclusive Education? Nine dissertations and one thesis made part of this study. The data showed that among the ten publications, four are directly related to the curricular adaptation and intellectual/mental disability, five refer to the curricular adaptation and disabilities, and one is concerned about the curricular practices for mentally disabled students. The approach most used in these publications was qualitative; and the instruments for data collection were documental analysis, observation and interview. Nessa época, surgiram novos movimentos e documentos importantes, derivados de conferências mundiais a favor da inclusão das pessoas com deficiência no sistema regular de ensino. A presente pesquisa é de natureza bibliográfica e teve por objetivo geral identificar e analisar Teses e Dissertações que constam no site da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) a respeito da Adaptação Curricular e Deficiência Intelectual no Contexto da Educação Inclusiva, referentes ao período de 1998 a 2013. O recorte temporal de produções publicadas a partir de 1998 justificou-se por ser esse o ano em que surgiram os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais: Adaptações curriculares: Estratégias para Educação de Alunos com Necessidades Educacionais Especiais, considerados de grande importância para compreender as adaptações e os diferentes níveis em que ocorrem. Para responder à questão de pesquisa (O que revelam as Teses e Dissertações a respeito da Adaptação Curricular voltada para o aluno com Deficiência Intelectual diante do contexto da Educação Inclusiva?) buscou-se conhecer seus objetivos, metodologia e resultados, selecionando-as por meio dos arquivos enviados pela CAPES. Fizeram parte dessa pesquisa nove dissertações e uma tese. Os dados mostraram que, das dez produções, quatro estão diretamente relacionadas à adaptação curricular e deficiência intelectual/mental, cinco são referentes à adaptação curricular e deficiências e uma está relacionada às práticas curriculares para alunos com deficiência mental.
