Resumo: During the 1990's decade just a few was invested in the defense area, only in the beginning of the Luis Inácio da Silva's government (2003-2010) that we efectly noticed a new discussion about the resumption of the investments. The national project idealized by this government, looking for support an international and stronger positioning to create a defense industrial base. This defense industrial base is formed by industries that participate of all or just a part of the productive process of a defense material. Our goal in this work is to do an analysis of these documents to understand the actual situation of our arms industry, how the defense industrial base is organized and witch politics were efectly implanted by the State. The debate about this subject is recent in the brazilian society and the politics adopted in the previous governments still reflect in the spacial distribution of the defense industry in Brazil

O projeto nacional idealizado por esse governo deu importância ao desenvolvimento de uma indústria de armamentos nacional, visando apoiar um posicionamento internacional mais forte e as necessidades de defesa do território. Para isso elaborou discussões e documentos a fim de formar uma base industrial de defesa. Esta base industrial de defesa é formada por indústrias que participam de toda ou parte do processo produtivo de um material de defesa. Objetivamos no trabalho uma analise destes documentos para compreender a situação atual de nossa indústria de armas, como se organiza a base industrial de defesa e quais políticas foram efetivamente implantadas pelo Estado.
