The study of reliability is one of the most requested engineering activities in recent years, seeking to make a product or manufacturing process less susceptible to failure. Through prediction analysis or reliability-related field studies, it is possible to verify the probability of a product or process failing over time, being a tool of extreme importance for any company that wants to increase the safety of its products and its competitiveness in the Marketplace. The reliability studies allows analyzing the performance of a product in operation or making predictions, generating indicators that can help to make better projects in order to attack the weakest points verified with more attention and care. In addition, when applied to a manufacturing process, it can reduce costs and increase production efficiency. With this, the present work seeks to analyze the reliability of components present in rolling stock projects, being an analysis linked to the product developed and in commercial operation, in this case, a fleet of trains of the subway system of São Paulo - SP. For this, a tool was developed based on the international standards IEC 61649 (2008) and IEC 60605-4 (2001), which present methodologies for the analysis of the reliability of components through field data, using the Weibull analysis and confidence intervals.
