The family farm has stood out on matters related to the development of Brazil, due to their socioeconomic importance. Seek alternatives that enable increased income in this action is paramount. In order to meet the needs of the family originate from combinations of agricultural activities or nonfarm that help in obtaining various forms of income generation. Note that the multi-activity is present in the logic of reproduction of many production systems. Therefore, it appears that the profitability of farm operations is determined as much by the characteristics and agricultural activities developed, for activities and non-agricultural incomes, the latter increasingly present in the new scenario of agriculture. The study aimed to characterize the farms of PracinhaSP, the profile analysis of producers or persons responsible for these, as well as the composition of income and the importance of beef cattle and dairy farmers for the municipality. The municipality of Pracinha has 71 farms, with over 70% of them below the 50 hectares (SAA / CATI / IEA, 2009), the economy is geared mainly to agriculture and temporary services. It was found that 48% of owners are aged over 60 years and 81.5%, 86% of the intended areas available for grazing, indicating the strong presence of livestock (mainly cutting), aggravated, since the same demand little manpower. Approximately 4% of farmers depend solely on agricultural income and 30% have more than half of the income therefrom.
