Resumo: Genetic teaching at schools, sometimes, happens in a superficial way and the students do not understand exactly how the characteristics are passed from people-to-people. Therefore, it is essential to bring to the classroom daily themes that make the comprehension of the students easy. The blood groups are very important examples of genetic application, because the students can comprehend how the characteristics are expressed come from DNA. The objective of this work is to put into practice genetic teaching involving theory and practice, showing to students how the process works, besides reinforcing the importance of blood donation and a blood transfusion. For this, a bibliographic survey was carried out and didactic material was produced, in addition to expository and practical classes bringing everyday themes and being evaluated through a printed form.Findings were very positive since the students replied to the activity in a good way, that consisted of a diagnosis questionnaire, as well as the practice activity. So, see that it is very important to approach this subject in the classroom in a way deeper and with practice uses. This work was a great learning experience for the high school students as well as trainee students.

Assim, é essencial que se leve para a sala de aula assuntos do cotidiano que facilitem o entendimento dos estudantes. Os tipos sanguíneos são um importante exemplo de aplicação da genética, uma vez que os alunos podem compreender como as características são expressas a partir do DNA. Frente ao exposto, o trabalho tem como objetivo colocar em prática um ensino de genética envolvendo teoria e prática, mostrando aos estudantes como o processo ocorre além de reforçar a importância da doação e da transfusão sanguínea. Para isso, foi feito um levantamento bibliográfico e produção de um material didático, assim como foram ministradas aulas expositivas e práticas trazendo temas do cotidiano e sendo avaliadas por meio de um formulário impresso. Os resultados foram muito positivos visto que os alunos responderam bem à atividade avaliativa, que constou de um questionário diagnóstico, assim como a atividade prática. Com isso, vê-se que é extremamente importante a abordagem desse assunto em sala de aula de uma forma mais aprofundada e com aplicação prática.
