Bruxism is supposed to be a risk factor for temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Recently, the hypothesis that bruxism and other parafunctions have a central origin has become more and more accepted. There were factors that predisposed the two components of bruxism, teeth clenching during the day and gnashing of teeth at night. Bruxism is considered a sleep disorder related to stress in children and has discussed the important aspects of nocturnal bruxism and its relations with the masticatory system disorders and headaches. Incisal tooth wear can be a sign of long-term behavior Bruxist. However, a causal relationship has not been established. Variables bruxism, subjective symptoms and clinical signs of temporomandibular disorders has been studied in children. Bruxism is considered a sleep disorder related to stress in children.
