Resumo: Over the years the environment has been undergoing changes that affect it adversely and many of these changes often occur due to improper disposal of waste from industries such as the timber. To reduce such problems it is necessary to find ways of reusing such waste. In this paper we used waste MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) from the furniture industry. There were produced 30 specimens with dimensions 300mm x 50mm x 16mm, of which 15 were bonded in the width direction and the other 15 the length of the line, and each 5 specimens, a different coating was used (uncoated , formica and wood finish coating), and these 5 different types of adhesive (white glue, glue, PU glue, bi-adhesive component (A + B) and only the component B). These were subjected to bending tests to obtain their elastic moduli and rupture modules. The mean analysis of the data it was concluded that for efficient reuse, can be used MDF glued flaps to any one of the five adhesives used with wood flooring, and glue line must be in accordance with the length.

Para diminuir tais problemas se faz necessário encontrar maneiras de reaproveitar tais resíduos. No presente trabalho foram utilizados resíduos de MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) provenientes da indústria moveleira. Foram produzidos 30 corpos de prova com dimensões 300mm x 50 mm x 16mm, dos quais 15 foram colados na direção da largura e os outros 15 na linha do comprimento, sendo que a cada 5 corpos de prova, foi utilizado um revestimento diferente (sem revestimento, revestimento de madeira e revestimento de fórmica), e para estes, 5 diferentes tipos de adesivo (cola branca, cola madeira, cola PU, cola bi-componente (A + B) e somente o componente B). Estes foram submetidos aos ensaios de flexão estática para a obtenção de seus módulos de elasticidade e módulos de ruptura.
