The Éxciton Company from Unesp Rio Claro is an extension dance project that has art, expression and dance as main objective, beginning from the cooperative and collaborative work of the group members. All the members of this company are from different courses of the University. Basically, the extension actions of this project are summarized in offering free dances lessons and artistic annual dance shows. Given these extension actions, the aim of this research was to investigate the ways that the Éxciton Company has constituted their choreographies and understand the relationships established between body/scenic preparation (time dance classes) and the creative process. For this purpose, we started from a documentary research about the scientific registries already realized about the Éxciton Company. In this way, it was possible to situate the context of this project in the framework of university extension. We also did: a participant observation, a production of researcher's diaries and interviews with the current members of Éxciton Company. Reports of current members of the Company were also produced and analyzed. In this reports, the members reported their performances in the group (e.g. classes planning and practices of structuring choreographic), to obtain data about the proposals undertaken in the extension project. We used the principles of qualitative research to continue the exercise of descriptive analysis of the data, which enabled the mapping of extensions actions of the Éxciton Company and the verification of the relationships highlighted in this research
