Resumo: The work about ionizing and non-ionizing radiation was carried out in the form of a questionnaire of 12 questions about knowledge of radiation, being interviewed elementary school students, high school and soldiers of Presidente Prudente war shot, in the total 239 respondents. Data analysis shows that this assumption is generally unfamiliar and arouses the interest of all. After this work this matter was the subject of a special class s work.

After this work this matter was the subject of a special class s work.O trabalho sobre radiações ionizantes e não ionizantes pode ser considerado como uma Extensão Universitária visto que foi realizado com adolescentes e teve como objetivo levar estes conhecimentos a eles [1]. Foi elaborado um questionário de 12 questões sobre conhecimento acerca da radiação, sendo entrevistados alunos do ensino fundamental, do ensino médio e soldados do tiro de guerra de Presidente Prudente, em total 239 entrevistados. A análise dos dados mostra que este assunto em geral é pouco conhecido e desperta o interesse de todos.
