Resumo: The Waldorf pedagogy, based on anthroposophy, was designed by Rudolf Steiner in Germany. The first school was founded in 1919. The main objective of this proposal is human development. From the literature survey, this paper presents concepts and principles of Waldorf education, as well as its history, motivations and characteristics, aiming to increase the understanding of this Pedagogy and describing its foundations. The literature search was performed using books and data. While result of bases, from the study of the theo retical concepts, it was possible to describe the fundamentals, present concepts and principles, in addition to expanding the understanding of the Waldorf pedagogy. Starting from the Waldorf context, were also exposed the principle sofearly childhood education

A primeira escola foi fundada em 1919. O objetivo principal desta proposta é o desenvolvimento humano. A partir da pesquisa bibliográfica realizada, este trabalho apresenta conceitos e princípios da Pedagogia Waldorf, assim como seu histórico, motivações e especificidades, objetivando ampliar a compreensão a respeito desta Pedagogia, apresentar e descrever seus fundamentos e sua implementação na Educação Infantil. A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada através de livros e bases de dados, o que possibilitou alcançar o objetivo de explicitar os princípios e contribuições teóricas da citada pedagogia. Enquanto resultado, tem-se que a partir do estudo das concepções teóricas, foi possível descrever os fundamentos, apresentar conceitos e princípios, além de ampliar a compreensão a respeito da Pedagogia Waldorf. Partindo do contexto da Pedagogia Waldorf, foram expostos também os princípios da Educação Infantil.
