This project is based on the interaction between university - community has the intent of bringing the “Universidade Estadual Paulista”, as an institution, of the local people in order to expand and democratize, covering the neighboring towns besides the municipality of Franca. The project aims to promote integration between the Law School of Franca - UNESP and high school students. It is expected not only assist the important step in choosing a profession and the desired university environment, but also expect the possibility of a recognition of the role of the Public State University in cultural improvement, technological, professional and humanistic of the students, which propagate their knowledge enabling the lift democratization in municipal, state, federal. In this way, it was decided to carry out a law school workshop with group dynamics that help with the development of speech skills of young people who will be invited to deconstruct myths and false truths. Therefore, it is expected that they get able to form their opinion based on coherent arguments expressing the reality of Brazilian social dynamics and their relationship with the punitive system. Therefore, the theme chosen for the workshop was the Reduction of Criminal Majority given its current and important repercussion resulting the votes of PEC 171/1993. It is intended to reorganize the public's ideas about the Brazilian penal system, the way the juvenile offender is currently treated explaining the need for inclusion of new preventive and inclusive public policies, especially to the youth. Thus, the project entails the possibility of recognizing “UNESP” as an educational institution committed to training that not only admire the quality of graduation, but also the humanization of society.
