Different Brazilian regions have suffered socialenvironmental disasters. One of these disasters was the flood occurred in early 2010 in São Luiz do Paraitinga - SP. The development of social actions to assist disaster-affected communities is a concern. In this context, it was proposed a project that aims to develop social and educational strategies for socio-environmental disasters prevention. For this reason, regular meetings with a group of high school students from a public school of São Luiz do Paraitinga have been conducted. Such meetings are focused on the practice of activities that include social, scientific and technological subject matters. However, the main goal is to orient students to implement a "ComVidAção". On the basis of current stage of the project, which began in March 2015, and on the active student participation, there are strong indications that the expectations will be met, i.e. a "Com-VidAção" will be implanted in São Luiz do Paraitinga.
