Resumo: Nowadays, the company faces an environment of high competitiveness and demanding customers. Therefore, in order to survive several techniques and philosophies had to be adopted, with the aim to reduce waste and ensure competitiveness. Lean Manufacturing stands out as one of the main philosophies which searches by means of continuous improvements develop practical applications to produce more with less and to potentialize the companies' results. The Lean Manufacturing gave rise to the Lean Office, a philosophy that employs the same principals as the Toyota production system, but at the administrative environments. The present work intended to realize a study whose objective was to characterize the state of art Lean Office by means of researches in the Scopus data base and identify the existing gaps in the articles published between 2007 and 2017. During the considered period, it were published 14 articles about Lean Office, but none of the in the high impact journal. The great part of these articles was focused in efficient and productivity gain obtained by the use of Lean Office techniques. Lastly, opportunities have been identified for exploring and developing research that may contribute to expanding the use of philosophy positively impacting administrative environments

Lean Manufacturing destaca-se hoje como uma das principais filosofias que buscam por meio da melhoria contínua desenvolver aplicações práticas para produzir mais com menos, e potencializar os resultados das empresas. O Lean Manufacturing deu origem ao Lean Office, uma filosofia que utiliza os mesmos princípios do Sistema Toyota de Produção, mas em ambientes administrativos. O presente trabalho buscou realizar um estudo cujo objetivo foi caracterizar o estado da arte do Lean Office por meio de buscas na base de dados Scopus e identificar gaps existentes nos trabalhos publicados no período 2007 - 2017. Durante o período considerado, foram publicados 14 artigos sobre Lean Office, sendo que nenhum pertence a um periódico de alto impacto científico. A grande parte dos artigos focou nos ganhos de eficiência e produtividade adquiridos com a utilização de algumas ferramentas do Lean Office.
