Inserção de atividades de Extensão Universitária (EU) no curso de engenharia civil da UNESP-FEG: a visão dos alunos

This work aims to contribute to the discussions on the effective compliance with Resolution No. 7/2018 / CNE / MEC in the Civil Engineering course at UNESP-FEG. This contribution was made from the analysis and understanding of the students' view of the course on the curriculum of extension activities. The analyzed information was obtained through an online questionnaire, composed of 25 questions, elaborated and applied to 131 students from different periods of the course, between participants and non-participants in University Extension activities. The results show that, by stimulating the application of theoretical knowledge and interaction with society, extension is understood as an important part in the process of training students, indicating academic, professional and personal growth. The interpretation of the answers made it possible to consider for the effective insertion of university extension activities in the curriculum of the Civil Engineering course at FEG / UNESP, as fundamental points of analysis and adjustment: the semester in which these activities will be carried out and their distribution to over the course; the category of activity according to Resolution UNESP n. 33/2011 in which these are adequate; the difficulties with the extensive workload, understanding of the concept of University Extension (EU) and the lack of academic support to be mitigated; and the need to integrate them into the course subjects.
