Análise da resistência ao cisalhamento paralelo as fibras segundo as normas ABNT NBR 7190:1997 e ISO 13910:2005

Resumo: Knowing the physical, anatomical, chemical, and mechanical wood properties is essential for its proper destination and its final use. For the structural use, technical standards establish methodologies tests to determine the mechanical properties of wood. In Brazil, the standard calculation for wooden structures is the NBR 7190: 1997 which is currently under review. Part of the proposals for the new version of the currently Brazilian wood standard include the review of the mechanical properties tests methods. It has been noted that several specimens for the tests methods has been tested by the commission of CE studies - 02: 126.10 of the Brazilian Technical Standards Association to determine the most representative methodology and specimen model to be considered as the test method. Within this context, the aim of this study was to analyze the shear strength parallel to the grain using the current version of the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 7190: 1997 and also from the recommendations of the European standard ISO 13910:2005 for humidity of 12%. The simplified relationship between shear strength and compression parallel to the grain proposed by the ABNT NBR 7190: 1997 was studied as well. This study considered specimens of Pinus elliottii and Eucalyptus saligna for the evaluation of shear strength parallel to the grain. The results showed that the Brazilian standard had higher values for shear strength than the European standard. The differences in the shear strength parallel to the grain between Eucalyptus saligna and Pinus elliottii considering the two standards were approximately 35% and 65%, respectively, which indicate that the shear specimen proposed by the current Brazilian standard is still the best option for the shear strength parallel to the grain test. Regarding the simplified relationships the coefficients were 7.69% and 48% for eucalyptus and pine woods respectively, values higher than the values that the ABNT NBR 7190:1997...

Para uso estrutural, as normas técnicas estabelecem metodologias de ensaios para determinação das propriedades mecânicas da madeira. No Brasil a norma de cálculo para estruturas de madeira é a ABNT NBR 7190:1997 que atualmente encontra-se em processo de revisão. Uma das partes propostas para a nova versão da norma de madeiras é o método de ensaios que contemplará os procedimentos de ensaios a serem realizados para a determinação das propriedades mecânicas da madeira. Tem-se observado que vários modelos de corpos de prova e métodos de ensaio vem sendo realizados pela comissão de estudos CE - 02:126.10 da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas para determinação da mais representativa metodologia e modelo de corpo de prova a serem considerados no método de ensaio. Dentro deste contexto, o objetivo desse estudo foi analisar a resistência de cisalhamento através da atual versão da norma brasileira ABNT NBR 7190:1997 e também a partir das recomendações da norma européia ISO 13910 para umidade de 12%. Foram também avaliadas as relações simplificadas entre a resistência ao cisalhamento e compressão paralela as fibras propostas pela ABNT NBR 7190:1997. Foram considerados neste estudo corpos de prova confeccionados com madeiras de Pinus elliottii e Eucalyptus saligna para a avaliação da resistência de cisalhamento na direção paralela as fibras. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que a norma brasileira apresentou valores maiores para a resistência de cisalhamento com relação a norma européia. Para madeiras de eucalipto e pinus as diferenças apresentadas foram de aproximadamente 35% e 65%, respectivamente, o que indicou que o corpo de prova proposto pela atual norma brasileira ainda consiste na melhor opção para o ensaio.
