Resumo: | Microbiology is important for public health, in daily life of the population and for social and economic development. The objective of the present work is spread this knowledge applied to everyday life, aiming popularize it and also improve the flow of information between the university and the community. Thus, the project team elaborate the activities, edit and distribute the PósMicro journal, performs the scripts for the radio program "The World of Microbes" issued by Educativa Radio FM 106.7 MHz with support of the City of São José do Rio Preto. Recently, was developed the "PósMicro Competition of Scientific Texts" with notice for the students enrolled in any educational institution, as well as researchers affiliated with research institutions. |

Recently, was developed the "PósMicro Competition of Scientific Texts" with notice for the students enrolled in any educational institution, as well as researchers affiliated with research institutions.Vista a importância da Microbiologia na saúde pública, no cotidiano da população e no desenvolvimento social e econômico, o presente trabalho objetiva a disseminação deste conhecimento aplicado ao cotidiano, visando popularizá-lo e, consequentemente, melhorar o fluxo da informação entre a universidade e a comunidade. Assim, a equipe do projeto executa atividades de elaboração, edição e distribuição do jornal PósMicro, e concebe roteiros para o programa de rádio “No Mundo dos Micróbios”, emitido pela Rádio Educativa FM 106,7 MHz com apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de São José do Rio Preto.
