The urban mobility and accessibility have become big problems in the Latin American countries, especially in the major cities. In Brazil, São Paulo maybe be the most emblematic case that we can quote to represent the challenge magnitude to be faced. Notwithstanding, the problems related to urban displacements of the citizens are not restricted to these urban spaces. A large part of brazilian middle cities also present mobility and accessibility problems primarily to the poorest segments of the population, which inhabit, prevalently, in social exclusion areas, in some cases also in urban spaces that are object from sociospatial segregation. Our objective was search to understand how the urban mobility and accessibility manifest in a middle city. The present monograph has the intention to study the sociospatial conditions that promote (or not) mobility and accessibility of the residents of the João Domingos Netto housing estate, in Presidente Prudente - SP, to the major consumption areas of the city. The research had the hypothesis that the low urban mobility is a factor to accent unsuitable socioeconomical conditions of who are living on far away areas, because their accessibility is smaller and it brings them to have less options relating to the choice of the areas where carry through the consumption of goods and services. Among the results obtained, we highlight that, in João Domingos Netto, the trade and services activities, in large part of the cases, are being carried out in the residential lots.
