Resumo: The present work covers the analysis and problems generated on the road system around shopping malls through the research by the deductive method, studying the methodologies and the current legislation on the subject, applying a comparison of methods to the present data of several malls all around Brazil, and proposing by the modeling procedure an improvement for the calculation of the volume of vehicles attracted by the enterprise, as well as new parameters for the determination of the number of parking spaces and sizing the deceleration range of the establishment's access road, which as a result, there was a lower impact on car traffic around the construction of new shopping malls, which could be assumed as measures to be standardized in a national level in order to reduce the impact on car traffic around the construction of new malls
