Resumo: Agroecology groups has emerged with great force in modern times, in order to study and discuss the current agricultural model, reduce environmental impacts and to find effective and sustainable methods that do not harm the environment. With that, appears in the Unesp Campus Registration Experimental, the Group of Agroecology Cataia, which in partnership with the Center for Psychosocial Care (CAPS) registration has been working the concept of Therapeutics Garden, where students can practice the concepts and agroecology patients can learn and restore society. Aiming this mutual learning, seedling cultivation to meet the need of the garden is becoming increasingly necessary, to thereby continue making workshops and practical activities. Another important requirement for the formation of seedlings is Food Security, this concept takes into account three main aspects: quantity, quality and regularity on access to food, which thus can provide greater autonomy to the people.

Nesse intuito, surge na Unesp Campus Experimental de Registro, o Grupo de Agroecologia Cataia, que em parceria com o Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) de Registro, vem trabalhando o conceito de Horta Terapêutica, onde os alunos podem praticar os conceitos de agroecologia e os pacientes podem aprender e se restabelecer em sociedade. Visando esse mútuo aprendizado, o cultivo de mudas para suprir a necessidade da horta vem se tornando cada vez mais necessário, para dessa forma, continuar efetuando oficinas e atividades práticas.
