Fault section location in smart grid using smart switches

Resumo: | This paper proposes the development of a method for monitoring and fault sections location in intelligent distribution systems, which is based on the replacement of equipment traditionally used in the protection of distribution systems by means of smart switches with fault sensors capable of sending their status remotely to the operating centers. The method is based on the realization of matrix products between the state of alarm of the smart switches and the relation of them with the sections of the circuit to be studied. The simulation results show that the process of locating and isolating the fault section occurs perfectly, as well as the entire grid restoration process. |
