Relações de gênero na educação física escolar: uma análise do conteúdo atividades rítmicas

This study seeks to analyze and search through a qualitative research, with the meanings attributed by male and female students of the 9th grade of elementary school of a state public school in Bauru - SP, from an analysis with the history of activities in the school's Physical Education, proposed in the São Paulo State Curriculum. Twenty-eight participants took part in the survey, who obtained permission from their guardians to collaborate with a survey. The teaching and learning process lasted 12 meetings. The activities were proposed and developed with the school Physical Education teacher. To collect data, we used three methods: class design questionnaire, class diary and interview. Data were collected and discussed based on studies correlated with the proposed theme. With an analysis of emerging data, two categories were set: equal participation, which can reflect and understand how gender relations are considered in Physical Education classes, and there was new content for students to learn, which was possible as the students meant as rhythmic activity classes. It concluded that the classes on this theme enable or improve the repertoire of body movement culture, contributing to the possibilities within the school's Physical Education, since the theme is accepted by students.
