Objetos de aprendizagem no ensino de astronomia nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental

Through observations during the science classes, at a municipal public school, it was evident that students join the sixth year of elementary school and work on the subject of astronomy, are based on explanations of the common sense. This subject belongs to the official syllabus for the fourth year of elementary school and therefore students should have scientific knowledge on the subject. Thus, the aim of this research that unfolds this work was to search out how the astronomy content is worked with the students of the fourth year of elementary school, mainly the concept of day and night, and evaluate the usage of learning objects as a methodology. The steps of this paper were: 1) theoretical studies; 2) survey of students' previous conceptions about the subject (pre-test); 3) construction of a didactic sequence on the subject with the use of learning objects; 4) survey of students' concepts on the subject after the application of the didactic sequence (post-test); 5) description and categorization of data; 6) analysis and interpretation of results. Based on the results obtained, the use of learning objects is such a relevant tool in the learning process and contributed to the construction of students' scientific knowledge
