Resumo: It is common in Brazilian education that students arrive and leave high school without the fundamental knowledge of School Cartography and poor Cartographic Literacy. Traditional analogue means of map recognition and study have become worn out, and the available technological resources make extensive use of maps. The use of map technology should be used for education, but its focus is on commercial applications, location, routes, and trade and consumption options. We present a concept of the use of the map for the School Cartography, applying concepts of Cartographic Education that works the location from the lived space, extending to the 2 municipality, state and country. This concept uses the principles of free software and disconnected use of the internet to include as many people as possible in its ability to use. In this the student can in a simulated process, digitally draw the maps in a digital resource constructed from free tools, with geoprocessing resources and that can be enlarged in a wider scale than what was presented in this work. It is also possible to discover maps through a process of mouse movement and the development of thematic maps with several criteria. The software was built from the JavaScript language, GeoJson and HTML5 data format, it is compatible with the three main Internet browsers of today, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Fire Fox, without necessarily having a connection to the worldwide network Of computers. We offer an additional resource for the elementary and middle school Geography teacher to provide their students with an innovative and free resource to obtain the minimum concepts needed to improve their cartographic literacy conditions...
