Organizational memory: The construction of an instrument in accessible system

Resumo: | One of the fundamental assignments of archivists is the creation of means of recording and preserving the memory of organizations. Organizational memory, supported by records management and information management, is able to boost knowledge management in organizations. In view of this scenario, the following problem arises: Can the organizational memory of operational activities leverage the knowledge of employees in the development of their activities and what instruments can be used for this purpose? Considering this question, the guiding objective of this research is to build an instrument capable of capturing information about operational processes relevant to organizational memory. The research is characterized as qualitative, exploratory and descriptive. As methodological procedures, bibliographic research was used in the themes of organizational memory, records management, information management, knowledge management and administrative planning, in order to understand the fundamental elements of organizational memory. This survey was carried out by consulting the Brazilian databases (BRAPCI, Scielo), thesis and dissertation libraries (BDTD) and conference proceedings (ENANCIB), for the construction of theoretical framework. Documentary research and survey research with questionnaires and interviews were used. As methodological procedures for this purpose, documentary research and a survey were also used, with questionnaires and interviews. As a result of the research, the elaboration of an instrument for recording an controlling organizational memory using the Excel application. It was also identified as a result that the elaboration of flowcharts and Standard Operating Procedure contributes to the organizational memory, as it allows the registration of processes and activities developed by the organizations, one of the gaps present in the studies of organizational memory. |
