Resumo: | Population aging, while a social process is present in the contemporary world, as a world phenomenon, whose repercussions are perceived in Brazilian society, in an expressive way. In this way the objective of the present research is to know the areas of formation and titration and to identify the perceptions of the interdisciplinarity and the healthy aging of the teachers of the Programs of stricto sensu in Human Aging and gerontology of Brazil. The theme of human aging is a natural, dynamic and complex process that involves biopsychosocial aspects. Due to its inter and transdisciplinary and multidimensional nature, it needs to be understood and explained by several areas of knowledge. This is an exploratory and descriptive electronic research based on Bardin's content analysis. Initially, the study was carried out in the electronic pages of the stricto sensu programs on human aging and gerontology in Brazil and in the Plataforma Lattes, corroborated with information from the Sucupira Platform, to ascertain the areas of training and titling of permanent teachers of the Programs, in the August 2018. Then, in September, through a questionnaire Google doc, sent by email, sought to identify their perceptions about interdisciplinarity related to the aging process and the vision on healthy aging. Teachers are trained in 30 different undergraduate courses, the highest percentage being 28, with a medical degree and 151 in the health area. Of the 184 teachers, 118 have master’s degrees and doctorates in the areas of Health Sciences, followed by 18 in Biological Sciences; 14 in Linguistics, Literature and Arts; 13 in the Human Sciences; 9 in Applied Social Sciences; 6 in Others; 5 in Exact and Earth Sciences; 2 in Engineering and none in Agricultural Sciences, from the CNPq Knowledge Area. Conclusion: The 12 strictu sensu programs on human aging in Brazil have 184 permanent teachers. Most, 28, are from the medical course, 20 from physical education, 19 from psychology, 17 from nursing and 17 from physiotherapy, 14 from nutrition, 12 from biology and 10 from pharmacy. Also the majority, 118 are from the area of knowledge of the health sciences, followed by 27 from the human sciences and 12 from the biological sciences. Even with a predominance of training and qualification in health sciences, the Programs demonstrate an interdisciplinary character in the composition of permanent teachers and are in line with the recommendations of the Interdisciplinary Area of CAPES, with the possibility of producing appropriate knowledge about the aging process. |

No. of bitstreams: 1 2019DioneMariaSettiFrizon.pdf: 1062381 bytes, checksum: 200af3c503d76a6b3883423d85f82a1f (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2019-12-17T18:19:32Z (GMT).
