Resumo: Several branches science have been concerned with aging aspects, in search for, through this knowledge improving the elderly’s quality of life. Since the practice of physical activities in the liquid environment is so usual among the elderly as long as it is thought of to check their level of fine-tuned motor coordination and of proprioception. The sample consisted of 112 women, averaging out 68,71,  5,24, years old, who were found to have been practicing hydrogymnastics for at least two months. The fine-tuned motor coordination was tested by applying the Andreotti & Okuma (1999) protocol whereas for the proprioception , a Kinesiometer was used, following the Paixão (1981) protocol. For the data analysis, both the Pearson correlation and descriptive percentil analysis were applied. The sample was split into two groups: group 1 (G1), ranging form 59 throug years old, and group 2 (G2), from to through 84 years old. The average time spent on performing the test of fine-tuned motor coordenation was 8 seconds, within the G1, and 9.09 seconds, within the G2. As regards the proprioception test, the G1 recorded 11.30, whereas the G2 dis 12.95. There was no statistically significant correlation , at a 5 % significant level, as between the variables checked. The results showed that the eldest’s performance was lower for both tests, which is perfectly line with studies referring to the aging-related increase of motor and sensitive damages.
