Resumo: The presence of wanderings is more and more notable in brazilian roads. Several studies has been done with this population, but few emphasis has been given to psychological characteristics of this people. With the purpose to investigate personality aspects of them, the Machover’s Human Figure Drawing was applied in twelve wanderings sheltered in an assistencial institute of São Carlos (SP) city. The grafic produtions were valued and analyzed in their formal, general and content aspects. The formulated interpretations indicate that the studied people has a body-image branded by inadequacy and depreciation feelings. It had been noted the existence of sexual conflicts signals, hardness in social relationships and inclination to alcoholism. Those interpretations are not conclusives, but contribut to the compreension of important psychodynamics aspects of this populations.

Diversos estudos têm sido realizados com essa população, mas pouco enfoque tem sido dado às características psicológicas desses sujeitos. Com o objetivo de investigar aspectos da personalidade dos mesmos, foi aplicado o Desenho da Figura Humana de Machover em doze andarilhos albergados em uma instituição assistencial da cidade de São Carlos (SP). As produções gráficas foram avaliadas e analisadas em seus aspectos formais, gerais e de conteúdo. As interpretações formuladas indicam que os sujeitos estudados possuem uma auto-imagem corporal desfavorável, marcada por sentimentos de inadequação e depreciação. Notou-se ainda a existência de indícios de conflitos sexuais, dificuldades nos relacionamentos sociais e dependência etílica.
