Resumo: This article searching a global view of the creative phenomenon through creative experience, as a study object, once the customary studies of creativity are presented limited to the understanding of aspects of its manifestation. Interviews have been conduted with people from different professional areas who describe their experiences with creativity, and utilizing as a theorical guide, D.W.Winnicott’s theory of emotional development, which represents na original approach to the creative phenomenon. The research introduces three new elements for the understanding of creativity: the presence of an appropriation feeling which indicates a commitment with the creative process, the existence of na internal order that rules all actions related to the experience and the existence of a space and time that inherent to the creative activity.

Foram realizadas entrevistas com pessoas de diferentes áreas profissionais que relatam suas experiências com a criatividade e, utilizado como guia teórico, a teoria de desenvolvimento emocional de D.W.Winnicott, que representa uma abordagem original do fenômeno criativo.
