Resumo: The text emphasizes the vision of deficiency in the social context, a vision that has determined, throughout the times, a series of expectations directed to the group of handicapped individuals. These expectations have become the determining factors of the established inter-relationships that contain all the elements that are part of the social group. The author has searched in the Social Psychology contributions for a reflexion about the present forms of interrelationships among society and the handicapped individuals.
