This dissertation is a report by the American School Mackenzie, which aims to report a continuous evolution of the main events that occurred since its foundation, from 1870 to the present day, focusing the attention on the archives found in Annual Reports cataloged in the collection of the Historic Center of Cultural of the Mackenzie (CHCM) which records the main facts, dominant in the evolution of the school. After discussing the founding of the American School, we will bring three more chapters. After the introduction, reporting the foundation of the school, we deal with the second chapter, bringing the advances and development of the institution, where we report the reasons for changing the physical space linked to the pedagogical origins resulting from chapter three. Two of those chapters recording the periods of change in the physical space of the American School within the São Paulo campus, showing the possible reasons for the physical changes, associated with the growth reflexes of the University and the Mackenzie Presbyterian Institute. The last chapter will be dedicated to photographs that recorded the period from its birth to the present.
