Resumo: The question of whether it is possible to determine today what will happen tomorrow still drives long-standing philosophical and theological debates today. The philosophical proposition regarding the future contingents initially posed by Aristotle reaches the Middle Ages with theological connotation especially by the influence of Anicius Manlius Torquatus Severinus Boethius. The question that arises is how does Boethius treat the philosophical problem of the future contingents of Aristotle? The research will have a qualitative bibliographic character. The aspects to be considered are the contingency of life and the omniscience of God. In this way, the research intends to verify first the philosophical dealings of Aristotle with respect to future contingents, in order to analyze how Boethius interprets the question from a theological-Christian basis. Thus, since Aristotle affirms the contingency of the future by the logicalphilosophical bias, Boethius offers a theological interpretation in dealing with the question from the understanding of the being of God and his attributes.

A proposição filosófica a respeito dos futuros contingentes posto inicialmente por Aristóteles chega à Idade Média com conotação teológica especialmente pela influência de Anicius Manlius Torquatus Severinus Boethius (Boécio). A questão que se coloca é como Boécio trata o problema filosófico dos futuros contingentes de Aristóteles? A pesquisa tem um caráter qualitativo de cunho bibliográfico. Os aspectos a serem considerados são a contingência da vida e a onisciência de Deus. Dessa forma, a pesquisa pretende verificar primeiramente a tratativa filosófica de Aristóteles a respeito dos futuros contingentes, para seguidamente analisar como Boécio interpreta a questão a partir de uma base teológica-cristã.
