Resumo: | This particular Masters Research deals with the observation of the heroic figure, considering its mythological conception, in the attempt to comprehend the main character construction inside a specific television genre: the series. In order to make so, the leading figure Gregory, after whom the series was named, was taken as the primary basis. House, in this regard, not only appears as an exceptional individual who is able to employ great logical thinking far beyond the general parameters of common sense, but also represents many aspects of the hero’s journey in his trajectory, according to the schematics outlined by Joseph Campbell (2000) and Christopher Vogler (1997). This study is justified by a pattern that seems to have been established in the genre, whose characters, although they’re driven by a heroic sentiment both in their essence and in their path, also present a misleading conduct, characterizing them as anti-heroes at the same time. Among House’s general attributes are boldness, obduracy in the search for answers to the medical riddles and the truth, as well as bawdry in relation to Ethics and Moral codes, whenever these last principles threaten the achievement of his objectives. It’s worthy mentioning, moreover, that the theoretical review gathers, aside many other important thoughts, the intellectual production from authors like Roland Barthes (1989) and Edgar Morin (2006), once they’ve brought significant contributions to the sum of related examinations concerning the myth and the matter of complexity. Therefore, the present study aims to observe these concepts under the mythic hero’s trajectory of character formalization, drawing attention to the literary influences in the creation of modern plots given to the analyzed genre. |

House : o anti(herói) no texto televisivoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisMartins, Valéria Bussolahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0431668948042658Guimarães, Alexandre Huady Torreshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5647180339750545Furlin, Marcelohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9664496095494377http://lattes.cnpq.br/8582412786017991Alves, Aline Izabelhttp://tede.mackenzie.br/jspui/retrieve/12832/Aline%20Izabel%20Alves.pdf.jpghttp://tede.mackenzie.br/jspui/bitstream/tede/2983/5/Aline%20Izabel%20Alves.pdftelevisual textHouse M.D.heromythreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do Mackenzieinstname:Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (MACKENZIE)instacron:MACKENZIE10899/254562020-05-28 15:13:31.521Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertaçõeshttp://tede.mackenzie.br/jspui/PRI |
