Dentro desse cenário, são tratados os conceitos de cultura, indústria cultural, alta e baixa cultura, identidade histórica do funk e sua atual conjuntura dentro do cenário musical brasileiro, uma vez que ele é um dos estilos mais consumidos no Brasil. A pesquisa busca mostrar a relevância do tema, apresentando dados de sua importância econômica e cultural, afirmando a importância de tratar o funk como produto cultural oriundo dos menos afortunados. A peça transmídia aborda o gênero musical como uma legítima manifestação cultural brasileira, sendo feita da periferia para a periferia, trazendo, portanto, textos jornalísticos com personagens do funk e especialistas no assunto.This research report is a bibliographical overview about the funk musical genre within the Brazilian cultural scene, which serves as a theoretical basis to produce the site " Na trilha do funk: O som que ecoa pelas periferias ". Within this context, the concepts of culture, cultural industry, high and low culture and identity construction are treated in relation to the history of funk and its current situation in the Brazilian music scene, since it is one of the most consumed musical styles in Brazil. The research seeks to affirm the relevance of the theme, presenting data of its economic and cultural importance, stating the importance of treating funk as a cultural product from the less fortunate.
