O ÚLTIMO CABALISTA DE LISBOA: MEMÓRIA E JOGOS AUTORAIS1

Pretendeu-se analisar a arquitetura de O último cabalista de Lisboa (livro do escritor Richard Zinler) e os contratos estabelecidos com o leitor, como elementos que compõe os jogos autorais, para se problematizar amemória, na sua relação com a morte, elemento alegórico instaurador de sentidos. Para tal empreendimento, associamos as reflexões propostas por Michel Foucault, no que se refere à autoria, e buscamos as contribuiçõesde Walter Benjamim, Huyssen, Márcio Seligmann-Silva e outros autores. Problematizamos, ainda, nesse texto, o contexto histórico correspondente ao massacre dos Judeus, em 1506, de que forma o passado é retomado naescrita desse escritor americano.THE LAST KABBALIST OF LISBON: MEMORY AND AUTHORSHIP GAMESWe intended to examine the architecture of Richard Zinler´s The Last Kabbalist of Lisbon and the contracts established with the reader, as elements that make up authoral games to question the memory in itsrelation with death, an allegorical element which sets up meanings. For this project, we rely on Michel Foucault´s discussions on authorship, and seek the contributions from Walter Benjamin, Huyssen, Márcio Seligmann-Silva and other authors. We also problematize the historical context for the massacre of the Jews in 1506, and the way by which the past is incorporated in the writing of this American writer.
