Resumo: | The transmissible venereal tumor is one of the most frequent cancers in clinical medicine of small animals and exhibits excellent responsiveness to chemotherapy. Against the importance of this disease, the objective was evaluate the clinical, haematological, biochemical and cytopathology dogs with transmissible venereal tumor treated with vincristine sulfate. We selected 10 dogs without distinction of sex, race or age suspected of transmissible venereal tumor, who had their diagnosis confirmed by cytological examination of which were collected blood samples for achievement hemogramy and biochemical levels. The animals were treated with vincristine sulfate at a dose of 0.75 mg / m2 intravenous administration every seven days for six consecutive weeks. The patients received medical discharge after the complete regression of tumor and the absence of neoplastic cells in cytological evaluation. Of affected animals evaluated by TVT, 70% were female and 30% male with a mean age of 4.8 ± 1.3 years, all mixed breed. The main clinical complaints of animals examined was bloody discharge, nasal and / or genital. After chemotherapy, only the vulvar bleeding statistically significant differences (p <0.05) from twenty-one days, and 100% of the animals showed no further bleeding. As for the cytological classification it was observed that 50% of the plasma cell type was 30% and 20% mixed lymphocyte. The hematological abnormalities observed was in relation to the counting rods (p = 0.042) at the beginning and after seven days and phosphorus serum nadosagem (p = 0.024) with statistically significant results (p <0.05). Its conclude that cytological aspiration fine needle is an effective, simple and safe for the diagnosis and classification of transmissible and independent venereal tumor type deTVT was satisfactory response method to chemotherapy treatment Vincristinae Sulfate base a protocol from six applications of chemotherapy, seven days betweenoperations applications intervals was effective for treatment. |

Submitted by Mario BC (mario@bc.ufrpe.br) on 2018-03-07T12:19:25Z No. of bitstreams: 1 MIrian Aparecida de Queiroz Barbosa Ferreira.pdf: 1537380 bytes, checksum: 4f7250c772918ad4309b7bc67392342d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-03-07T12:19:25Z (GMT).
