Resumo: Cleaner Production - C + P can be understood as a sustainable production model, which aims to help organizations achieve a balance between the economic, social and environmental dimensions. In this sense, this research had as its general objective to analyze the improvement of jeans in the harsh Pernambuco and its barriers and success factors for adoption Cleaner Production. The research method was qualitative and quantitative, the data collection instrument was interviewed and the questionnaire analyzed the data in a descriptive, statistical and content manner with the aid of the SPSS software, the results were presented in tables, graphs and tables with the aid of Excel. The data source was primary from the field research and secondary from the CPRH website. It can be said that the main barriers to the adoption of C + P were related to the absence of organizational culture, knowledge of the C + P tool, knowledge of environmental legislation, economic conditions of the company and level of education of employees and managers. It was also possible to point out that the analytical model proposed in this study was relevant to measure the correlations between the variables: environmental preservation of the external environment, efficiency of waste management in the organization, regarding the company's commitment to the health of employees, non-compliance with legislation environmental, client's environmental commitment and knowledge of C + P. These correlations were identified in Spearman's Correlation and tested in the SPSS software. It can be inferred that organizational culture, knowledge of environmental legislation, economic conditions of the company and level of education were considered obstacles to the adoption of C + P. It was also possible to identify the existence of non-conformity with the C + P model related to the absence of policies and compliance with environmental legislation, the lack of resources to invest in technology, socio-environmental commitment on the part of managers and environmental education. It is concluded that the conformities of the current production model vis-à-vis C + P are empirically related since it was identified that 85% of managers do not know the C + P tool. It is hoped that this research will contribute to changing this scenario and that conformities will be strengthened in order to achieve full adoption of the P + L model. In this context, the opportunity of companies to adopt C + P practices through organizational identity is evidenced, which encourages employees to present a beneficial posture to the environment, and the quality of life of future generations. New studies should be conducted involving a larger number of laundries to verify the reproducibility of these findings. They suggest that measures that promote environmental education, especially the knowledge of the C+ P tool, can lead to the best scenario, especially in the jeans processing phase.

Submitted by (lucia.rodrigues@ufrpe.br) on 2022-11-16T23:17:31Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Maria de Fatima da Silva.pdf: 1157367 bytes, checksum: 89de870749dbdaaf11876debf6ed76cf (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-11-16T23:17:31Z (GMT).
