Resumo: | The Clothing are part of the semiarid region of Pernambuco, before, subsistence agriculture was the main means of areas of the families that inhabited the region. From the 1960s onwards, the difficulties with production in the primary sector due to droughts, lack of seasonal employment in São Paulo, the Agreste region of Pernambuco had its behavior changed, supported by the habit of women sewing scraps of clothing and fabrics from the Southeast Brazilian, transformed into raw material and pieces made by these families. Over time, the economic strength, combined with cheap labor, low prices and the region's productivity strength, gained notoriety, becoming one of the largest clothing centers in Brazil. Ten cities make up the Clothing Cluster, developed by the existence of companies in the same location, in production for the same sector, generating the formation of direct and indirect jobs. This economic potential arouses the interest of several countries, such as China, in order to supply this productive offer from the Agreste region of Pernambuco. This study, in the research methodology, applied an action research to industrial members of the Cluster of garments in the Agreste of Pernambuco, due to the need to bring academic knowledge closer to society, and captured the perception of businessmen to this Chinese interest in the region. There were 184 questionnaires, in the cities that make up the Cluster, Caruaru, Santa Cruz do Capibaribe and Toritama, where most of the responding entrepreneurs import garments from China, praising the quality and low cost of obtaining them. With this, the objective of the study, we analyze the economic influence that the importation of products, textiles and apparel from China, causes in the Cluster Confecções do Agreste from Pernambuco, by businessmen in the region. |

With this, the objective of the study, we analyze the economic influence that the importation of products, textiles and apparel from China, causes in the Cluster Confecções do Agreste from Pernambuco, by businessmen in the region. Submitted by (lucia.rodrigues@ufrpe.br) on 2022-11-17T17:39:46Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Onassis Felipe da Silva.pdf: 1748975 bytes, checksum: 2a7da4c42e30dc6126c57f9d339de9be (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-11-17T17:39:47Z (GMT).
