Práticas e representações nordestinas na musicografia de Jackson do Pandeiro (1953-1981)

The Northeast has in its culture several artists who tried to represent it, such as the popular singer Jackson do Pandeiro (1919-1982), who in his musical repertoire sang the northeastern diversity. Based on this observation, our research seeks to note how this great artist 's lyrics are on northeastern practices and representations, in order to reflect how historically they were built and how they relate to northeast' s people. To support this work theoretically, we have engage with some researches that have helped us to design this work, such as: Napolitano (2008), Pesavento (2012), Moura and Vicente (2001), Laraia (1986), Albuquerque Junior (2011) and Chartier (1991). We base our research in the field of Cultural History and Discourse Analysis of the French line, which allows us to work with the concepts we choose for our reflection, and as a methodological path we analyze several songs to thoroughly delve into the Jacksonian repertoire. Our main source is in the Jackson do Pandeiro's lyrics by, ranging from 1953, when he records his first songs, until 1981, when his last shipment of songs is released. We believe that this research will serve to demonstrate the importance of Jackson do Pandeiro for brazilian popular music and to understand representations and visions of cultural practices of the northeast.
