The experiments were developed to evaluate the performance of laying hens fed diets containing different levels of inclusion of cottonseed meal with or without added multi enzyme complex at peak production. Two consecutive performance tests were conducted over a period of 56 days for the first experiment divided in two periods of 28 days and 28 days for the second experiment using 480 laying hens at 28 weeks of age, Dekalb Brown. We used a completely randomized design with eight treatments, six replicates of ten birds per experimental unit. The treatments of both experimental periods were divided into two groups: the diets without added enzyme complex and diets with the addition of enzyme complex, each group of four diets, which are: a control diet and three inclusion levels of cotton cake, 5, 0%, 15.3% and 26.2% for group without added enzyme complex 5.2%, 9.8% and 19.4% for the groups with addition of complex enzyme, which have risen 3.5% of the nutrients and energy diets for the first experiment, with the inclusion levels for the second experiment 11.1%, 20.1% and 25.2% for those without adding enzyme complex 10.7%, 18.2% and 20.8% for the groups with addition of enzyme complex, where in the second cycle and the first experiment second experiment was added 500g sulfate iron per tonne in diets with inclusion of cotton cake. The treatments were evaluated for quality and yield performance of the eggs. It can be concluded that inclusion of cotton cake level of 25.2% may be used, provided that the feed is supplemented with a source of iron.
