Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the in vitro ruminal fermentation kinetics of diets containing mango meal whole replacing corn. Besides this, was to evaluated the intake and digestibility of nutrients, feeding behavior, metabolic profile, yield and composition of milk of Saanen goats in lactation and from the factor analysis evaluate the effects of the behavioral pattern and metabolic profile of dairy performance. Four diets were evaluated: control, no added mango meal whole, and the other with 33.3, 66.6 and 100.0% of replacing corn by mango meal whole in the concentrate, with forage:concentrate of 60:40. Eight multiparous lactating Saanen goats (48.72 ± 1.99 kg BW) were distributed in two Latin Squares (4x4) during 76 days of confinement. The maximum gas production from total carbohydrates and the volume of gas produced from fibrous carbohydrates decreased with the replacing corn by mango meal whole. There were no effects of the diets tested on intake of DM, OM, CP, EE, NDF and water. However, there were reduction in the NFC and TDN intake and digestibility of DM, OM, EE, NDF and NFC. The times of eating, resting, total chewing and feeding efficiency were not changed, as well as blood concentrations of urea, creatinine, gamma glutamyl transferase, aspartate aminotransferase, albumin, total protein, glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol and magnesium. Milk yield corrected to fat and milk constituent levels and the main fatty acids of milk were not changed, except for the fat content of milk, which increased. With the economic evaluation there was reduction in the total cost of feeding from the replacing corn by mango meal whole. Considering the results obtained can totally replace corn in diets of dairy goats. Therefore, the decision making regarding the use of mango meal whole depends on factors related to the availability of the product and the cost of acquisition in the region.

Submitted by Mario BC (mario@bc.ufrpe.br) on 2017-07-13T13:43:12Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Janaina de Lima Silva.pdf: 1507308 bytes, checksum: e871346c5f56851a4a34b84c40665b35 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2017-07-13T13:43:12Z (GMT).
