Cenários do turismo rural da zona da mata norte de Pernambuco : concepção a partir de indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental dos equipamentos

The present study is premised analyze the types and formats of environmental management practices in rural tourism facilities in the north woods of Pernambuco and its possible consequences on the sustainability of natural environments and equipment area. Specifically we sought to characterize the supply of equipment for the practice of cottages in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco; Identify the aspects of environmental management in rural tourism facilities; build sustainability scenarios based on the interactions between management practices and environmental sustainability, generated in an adapted Likert array.Tourism is an activity that has been studied so academic in Brazil 40 years ago and still can’t conceptualize universally tourism, primarily because of this phenomenon is so large and complex that it is impossible to speak in full about it. The theoretical about tourism , rural tourism , sustainability and tourism , environmental management and sustainability indicators were based on the assumptions , among others, by Barreto (2001 ) ; Portuguez (2008 ) ; Swarbrookwe (2000 ) ; Aligleri (2009 ) and WTO ( 2003) respectively. Methodological approach to research is qualitative and quantitative, and is characterized as exploratory, descriptive and analytical about environmental management in rural tourism facilities located in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco equipment totalling 7 activities as publications Apeturr , Faepe (through its Committee on Rural Tourism ) and Sebrae - PE . For data collection were carried out semi-structured interviews with the owners or managers of the equipment beyond the application form of field research in order to make an inventory of indicators and categories of sustainability in rural tourism activity. The results of this investigation showed that although there is no environmental management practices in rural tourism facilities in the North Forest Zone of Pernambuco is a concern and actions that aim to minimize the impact and damage to the natural environment. It was evident that despite the lack of environmental management equipment in the current scenario indicates a series tendency to sustainability in the medium and long term.
