Resumo: | The lack of data and poor spatial distribution of stations and meteorological stations has been a major challenge for researchers attempting to describe statistical models that can explain consistently the behavior of certain meteorological parameters such as rainfall, temperature, relative humidity among other, as well as supply this lack of data for sites not sampled. A methodology able to quantify the spatial dependence and predict certain attributes is geostatistics, which has been used in an attempt to explain the behavior of rainfall the state of Paraíba, through the technique of kriging and trend surface analysis, where it was found by variogram analysis of the existence of spatial dependence of the attribute under study. Through the kriging maps could observe the places where this dependence was stronger. The trend surface analysis was of paramount importance to explain the behavior of such phenomena, some criteria were used to select these as: The Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the adjusted coefficient of determination (R2a). According to these criteria it was noted that the surfaces trend that best fit the rainfall data from the State of Paraíba were cubic and fourth degree surfaces. Given the methods used, it was observed, for some months, certain regions had higher rainfall, as is common during these periods the performance of some meteorological systems such as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Upper Tropospheric Cyclonic Vortex High Levels (VCAN). Estimates interpolated by the selected models were fairly representative with regard to the spatial distribution of rainfall in each location during the reporting period. The maps of the residuals show exactly the places where the smallest and largest differences occurred. Analyses were performed using R software with the aid of spatial and geoR package. |

Analyses were performed using R software with the aid of spatial and geoR package.A carência de dados e a má distribuição espacial de postos e estações meteorológicas tem sido um grande desafio para os pesquisadores na tentativa de descrever modelos estatísticos que possam explicar de forma consistente o comportamento de certos parâmetros meteorológicos tais como: precipitação, temperatura, umidade relativa dentre outras, assim como suprir essa carência de dados para locais ainda não amostrados. Uma metodologia capaz de quantificar a dependência espacial e predizer determinados atributos é a geoestatística, que foi utilizada na tentativa de explicar o comportamento da precipitação pluvial do Estado da Paraíba, através da técnica da krigagem e da análise de superfície de tendência, onde verificou-se por meio da análise variográfica a existência de dependência espacial do atributo em estudo. Por meio dos mapas de krigagem pôde-se observar os locais onde essa dependência foi mais forte. A análise de superfície de tendência foi de suma importância para explicar o comportamento de tais fenômenos, alguns critérios foram utilizados para seleção desses modelos como: O Critério de Informação (AIC), Análise de Variância (ANOVA) e o Coeficiente de Determinação Ajustado (R2a). De acordo com esses critérios observou-se que as superfícies de tendência que melhor se ajustaram aos dados de precipitação pluvial do Estado da Paraíba foram as superfícies cúbicas e de 4o grau. Diante das metodologias utilizadas, pôde-se observar, para alguns meses, que determinadas regiões apresentaram maiores valores de precipitação pluvial, pois durante esses períodos é comum a atuação de alguns sistemas meteorológicos como Zona de Convergência Intertropical (ZCIT) e Vórtices Ciclônicos de Altos Níveis (VCAN). As estimativas interpoladas pelos modelos selecionados foram bastante representativas no que se refere ao comportamento espacial da precipitação em cada localidade durante o período analisado. Os mapas dos resíduos mostram com exatidão os locais onde ocorreram as menores e as maiores diferenças.
