Perfil antropométrico e exames bioquímicos de funcionários de uma empresa de acumuladores elétricos chumbo-ácido

Resumo: The worker income is directly related to their nutritional status, and this, with appropriate, assists in increasing productivity, reducing the number of accidents and decrease absenteeism. Objective: To evaluate the anthropometric and biochemical examinations of employees. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted with 450 employees hired by the Company CrAl Batteries - Bauru, of both sexes, in the period from March to July 2011. Inclusion criteria were: an official registered company in lead-acid electric accumulators of Bauru and; possess records of clinical evaluation. The adopted criteria for exclusion were: not accepting to participate in the data collection done by nutritionist (perimetry). We used the measurement of weight, height and waist circumference; classification of body mass index, biochemical analysis of cholesterol, triglycerides and blood glucose. Of the 450 company employees, 350 agreed to undergo abdominal girth. It was observed that this, the average age was 35.9 years, and the vast majority (92.9%) were male. The average time spent in the company was 7 years, with a mean body weight of employees characterized as overweight, waist circumference with no risk of cardiovascular disease and serum levels of cholesterol and glucose were within normal parameters, the average the triglyceride levels were 161.6 mg / dl and above the normal. Knowledge of anthropometric and biochemical tests independently of the results may suggest the need to implement measures to control both the prevention of obesity and other risk factors, enabling intervention on the health of workers

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o perfil antropométrico e exames bioquímicos dos funcionários da empresa. Tratou-se de um estudo transversal de caráter descritivo, realizado com funcionários contratados pela Empresa Baterias Cral Bauru, de ambos os sexos, no período de março a julho de 2011. Foram considerados critérios de inclusão ser funcionário registrado na empresa de acumuladores elétricos chumbo-ácido de Bauru e; possuir prontuários de avaliação clinica. Foram excluídos da coleta de dados os funcionários que não aceitaram submeter-se a perimetria da circunferência abdominal. Utilizou-se a aferição do peso, estatura e circunferência abdominal; classificação do Índice de Massa Corpórea, analise dos exames bioquímicos colesterol, triglicérides e glicemia. Dos 450 funcionários da empresa, 350 aceitaram se submeter a perimetria abdominal. Observou-se que a média de idade foi de 35,9 anos, sendo a grande maioria (92,9%) do gênero masculino. O tempo médio de permanência na empresa foi de 7 anos, sendo a média do peso corporal dos funcionários caracterizado como sobrepeso, com circunferência abdominal sem risco de doenças cardiovasculares e os níveis sérico de colesterol e glicemia se apresentaram dentro dos parâmetros de normalidade; a média dos valores de triglicérides foi de 161,6 mg/dl ficando acima da normalidade. O conhecimento do perfil antropométrico e de exames bioquímicos, independente dos resultados, podem sugerir a necessidade de implementação de medidas que visem tanto ao controle, como à prevenção da obesidade e outros fatores de risco, possibilitando intervir sobre as condições de saúde dos trabalhadoresMade available in DSpace on 2015-10-21T10:25:16Z (GMT).
