Resumo: | ln the perspective of Tourism as a spatial fact, this article introduces an applied and processing research that deals with the particularities of theGeographic Informarion Systems (GIS) in the field of the Tourism Integrated Planning. The use of GIS is recent in that field, and it is also a computing tool which allows improving the time of the planning, managing, trading, marketing and information processes of the tourist productspace through the automating of data collection, manipulating, processing, spatial analysis and graphic representation of the information according to the variables Subsystems of the Intervening Tourist System. The SIGTUR-ZULlA-VENEZUELA is an example of how GIS can be applied at municipal levels. Two Models or Prototypes designed by phases permit to an opened GIS to integrate the information bases with geographicalattributes of the municipalities and to build the SIGTUR at a state-region scale in order to the decision-making in Tourism Planning for a great sort of users. |
